snow day pasta

ten inches of snow with eight more on the way. the temperature when i woke up this morning was -18. i’ve had five — yes five — days off of work because of weather. at this point, our refrigerator is almost completely empty. the fact that we were able to forage enough to cook dinner was a miracle.

what this plate lacks in beauty it more than makes up for in taste. it took 15 minutes to whip up – and there’s no real recipe, i’ll just tell you what we threw in the sauté pan.

1/2 yellow onion; sliced
couple cloves of garlic; sliced
handful of mushrooms; sliced
old, wrinkly cherry tomatoes; sliced
+ salt, pepper, olive oil

poured over linguini, topped with parm.
