the chef and i spent the past week in his hometown of grand junction, colorado. we went for his sister’s wedding but it was so nice being able to spend time with family and friends we don’t get to see very often. between taking wedding photos and hiking, we spent a lot of time on the national monument… the perfect place to snap some iphone pics ; )
while the bride and groom had their pictures taken, we took a few of our own. it’s not very often you’re on top of a mountain in a sparkly dress, ya know.
if the groomsmen ever decide to put out an album, i think this would be a pretty great cover.
the bride and groom! being at this wedding made me want to see my own wedding photos! i can hardly wait until they’re finished!
i’m from west virginia, and the chef always teases me about calling it “the mountain state”. colorado is the real mountain state, he says. i guess i see where he’s coming from.
we also spent some time on the monument in normal people clothes. we almost made it to the top, but i got hungry so we had to turn around. whoops. normal people clothes felt way less glamorous than that sparkly dress, but i suppose it was more practical.
ps, converse make terrible hiking shoes. ouch!
