at two-and-a-half-months-old, our girl got her wings! i try to be a laid-back mama, but i have to admit i was pretty terrified about taking mila on her first flight to see her grandparents in grand junction, colorado. there were so many things that could have gone wrong. we could have been late (we almost were!), she could have cried the whole time (just a few minutes!), or even worse — a blow out at 35,000 feet (thank goodness that didn’t happen!).
aside from being late, which was totally dad’s fault, mila’s first flights to and from grand junction were a breeze!
she was the best girl on the flight. just a tiny bit of fussiness when we thought her ears were popping, so we used her medicine dropper to give her a few sips of water and it seemed to do the trick. she either napped or we walked up and down the aisle. easy peasy!
the only real tough part about flying with mila is that we didn’t have our stroller during layovers so we had to carry her. she’s a chunky little girl and our arms got tired fast! thank goodness for the people movers : )
we found a quiet corner in the gate area and laid a blanket down for some floor time, which quickly turned into nap time. man, she’s cute.
and a huge thanks to these two super sweet pilots from delta, who let our girl sit in the cockpit and look totally awesome : )
